Meet Abena, the visionary founder of Relish Africa. A Ghanaian American, Abena's culinary journey began with the flavors of the Ashanti people, fostering a deep love for Africa's diverse cuisines. Her adventurous spirit took her backpacking through over 15 African nations, creating a tapestry of experiences that shaped her mission. Trained as a nurse, Abena now views her work as healing communities through the universal language of food. Balancing her life between Africa and the U.S., she spends half the year traveling the continent and the diaspora, curating unique culinary tours that celebrate the richness of African gastronomy.
